LAC Kevin Bowd (58366) was born at North Brighton on June 14, 1924, and enlisted in the RAAF as a LAC on June 29, 1942, LAC Bowd was posted to Mildura as Guard and at 6:40 am on October 14, 1945 was accidentally shot dead in the guard room at Mildura 2OTU, by another guard LAC Alfred Charles Perso (130353) with a rifle which it was thought had been unloaded.

LAC Kevin Bowd aged 21 was buried on October 16, 1945, at the Mildura War Cemetery and was the last burial to be made in the Mildura War Cemetery.
