Arrived at 2OTU on 3 Jul 1943. He was in Sale in mid-October on leave when he was attached to 4RAAFHOSP in that town on 25 Oct 1943.

He was moved to 6RAAFHOSP on 28 Nov 1943 classed as seriously ill suffering from an infection from the ear.

His condition worsened to dangerously ill on 13 Jan 1944, and sometime after that, he was moved to the Alfred Hospital in Melbourne where he died on 27 Feb 1944.
