Frizell was originally from Inverell NSW.
He completed his pilot training at Uranquinty in October 1944. Frizell did not fly again until completing a refresher course at the same school during April or May in 1945. He was then posted to Mildura for operational training. Frizell was flying a Kittyhawk A29-118 on aerobatics training on the 25th of July 1945. The aircraft spun in 20 miles from Mildura on a bearing of 255 degrees. He was 20 years old at the time of his death.
