HONOURING THE MEMORY OF THOSE WHO TRAGICALLY LOST THEIR LIVES DURING SERVICE AT 2OTU

In 1942 2OTU had a strength of just 23 officers, 113 airmen and a handful of aircraft. From these humble beginnings, the 20TU went on to become the largest fighter Operational Training Unit in Australia.

Sadly, during this time some of the pilots and ground crew made the ultimate sacrifice and lost their lives. 52 Aircrew and 7 Ground Crew from 2OTU, Mildura were involved in tragic accidents that resulted in their deaths. Read more about these men below.
